Christian Education

At WPC, we believe God calls us to learn and grow together. That's why we offer many education options for all ages. We provide a safe place for children and adults to bring their questions and desires grow, even as they walk in and out of their walks with Christ. “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long” (Psalm 25:5)

Faith Finders (Grades K-4)

Our Faith Finders group meets Sunday mornings after worship from September-May. We strive to include children in all aspects of faith and worship at WPC. While we take our responsibility to nurture children seriously, we also see them as models of discipleship in their authenticity, curiosity and spirited search to understand God. Using the Whirl lectionary curriculum (Spark House), our incredible volunteers are always ready to help our kids find their place in life within the body of Christ.

Volume (Grades 5-12)

Our Volume group meets the second and fourth Sunday nights from 4-6 from September to May. Our summer program, Burger and a Bible, meets June-August from 4-6:30. Teenagers are all about exploring their beliefs, passions and identities during their formative adolescent years. The mission of our youth ministry is to create strong intergenerational communities and sacred space where spiritual formation happens among friends. Whether we are doing movie nights, mission projects, or playing games, the conversations that follow provide safe, inviting places for youth to come and be themselves.

Adult Education Opportunities

We encourage all members and friends to find at least one place to nurture your spiritual life. Maybe it's a Bible study, maybe it's a spirituality group, or maybe it's a place of service that feeds you. We want to help you find a place to plug in and grow with God! At WPC, we are always asking ourselves what we can add to the Body of Christ. Through small groups and intergenerational mission projects, we grow together in our journeys of faith. Check out our calendar to see what study opportunities are coming up!

Music

The music program offers opportunities for adults, youth and children to participate in choral, handbell and special instrumental offerings, both during Sunday worship and during special programs.

Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir is comprised of talented volunteers who sing a diverse repertoire of great choral works and anthems during our Sunday worship. Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 6:30-7:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Those interested in joining the Chancel Choir are invited to observe and sing during the rehearsals, or contact our wonderful choir director, Ann Tharp, for more information!

Bell Choir

Our self-proclaimed “ding-a-ling” group is a multi-generational ensemble that welcomes all regardless of handbell ringing experience. Training is provided. This ensemble rings about eight times annually. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays, 7:30-8:15p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

Church Life

Whether it's coffee hour after worship, Presbytery night at the ballpark, or joining together for a board game night with snacks in the Fellowship Hall, we at WPC are all about getting together for some good family time. We would love to have you join us! As our church bulletin says every week, there are no visitors in the body of Christ, so come get your game on with us! Check out the church calendar for upcoming group fellowship activities.
